Who attended the AAPP seminar in Hilton Head?

Congratulations to the members of the board and especially Toby McSwain for a very enjoyable time and first rate training.

I was excited to meet Ralph and see his booth relating to this web site. I hope he talked alot of people into making this site a regular part of their routine.

Ok enough cudos, who got what out of the training? Their was alot of good information on several different topics. I personally enjoyed John Schwartz and his presentations. Of course I belong to ASTM and already know how much the committee has done for the profession. I really do think that it is misunderstood by many examiners and if I can help clear up anything concerning ASTM please let me know.

What did you think of the presentation by Paul Menges about counter measures? I hope it made more people realize that it is a problem and we should all be looking at ways to deal with this problem.

What do you do to try and avoid or deal with counter measures?

Jack

I was there. Yes, it was a GREAT seminar although the Holiday Inn sucked! All of the AAPP speakers were great.

Make your reservations NOW for AAPP 2004 in BC because the hotel WILL sell out. We will be in a five star hotel for Holiday Inn rates!

Could anyone who was there give us a Reader's Digest version of Paul Menges' presentation? I was very impressed by his article in Polygraph.

As for dealing with countermeasures, a good rule of thumb is that if reactions to comparison questions look too good to be true, they probably are.

It's a thankless job, but somebody's gotta do it.
